Alumni Bulletin wins bronze medal from CASE
The Alumni Bulletin has won a 2003 Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The magazine, which was redesigned beginning with the Summer 2002 issue, earned a bronze medal in the category of periodical publishing improvement. Of thirty-five entries in the category, one received a gold medal, two more received silver medals, and two earned bronze.
Shawn Presley, director of public affairs and editor of the Bulletin, oversaw the redesign, which was undertaken with Landesberg Design Associates of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Aldrich Design of St. Paul, Minnesota. Also participating were other members of the public-affairs staff.
The Circle of Excellence Awards honor the best college and university projects in the areas of alumni relations, communications, and development. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with an office in London, CASE is the professional organization for educational-advancement personnel.
