Virginia Calhoun de Millan, San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, continues to train teachers of English as a foreign language at the Universidad Autonoma de Chiapas in southern Mexico. The revised edition of her manual for how to teach EFL to children, Kiddie English, is now available on Amazon.com. Virginia writes, "Any fellow alumni who teach English to foreigners, please check it out, buy it, ‘Like' it, and give it stellar reviews. I promise to do the same for you!" David G. Holthaus, Fairfield, Ohio, has been named editorial page editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer and Enquirer Media. A.J. House and Lynn Prothro House, Payson, Illinois, write, "Our daughter Nancy is a sophomore at Vanderbilt, and our daughter Caroline is a senior at Middlesex School. All is well on the farm."

Michael K. Zorek writes, "It's great to be home in New York City after nine months on the road while my son, Jeremy (ten), performed in the musical Billy Elliott. Jeremy and his sister, Diana (six), are both enjoying school, after-school projects, and auditioning. It was fun to see some familiar Kenyon faces on the road, including Christopher L. Cole, DeDe Lewis Rowe, Michael G. Berick, Barbara Webb Coyle '80, and Joshua T. Radnor '96, but it is wonderful to be home with both kids and my lovely wife, Shelly."

Frederik S. Barends, Bexley, Ohio, was inducted into Ohio Wesleyan University's Athletic Hall of Fame on October 27, 2012. Fred coached men's cross country and track and field at the university from 1993-2002 and was named Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year four times and NCAC Coach of the Year seven times. As a head coach, he coached fifty-five NCAC champions and eleven All-Americans, including three national champions. Willing L. "Wing" Biddle, South Salem, New York, continues to be the COO of Urstadt Biddle Properties, a NYSE REIT (real estate investment trust). Wing's eldest daughter, Elinor, starts college next year at the University of Virginia, where she was recruited to row on its Division I crew team. Moira B. Rosenberger, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reports that her son, Jacob "Jake" Griffith-Rosenberger, is a first-year student at Kenyon this year. Moira says, "Looking forward to making new memories at Kenyon!" Pamela Welsh-Huggins was the music director of a production of the punk rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which was put on by Available Light Theater in Columbus last fall. Robyn R.O. Stype '12 was a member of the ensemble. Pam and Andrew Welsh-Huggins live in Columbus, Ohio.

Joseph Caperna, San Diego, California, reports that he took his first round-theworld trip, from San Diego to Bangkok, then to South Africa, then back to San Diego. He volunteered and lived in an HIV orphanage in Thailand. Joe tells us his life is good and fun, and wishes the same for all, especially the Class of 1984. Andrew A. Folkerth, Denver, Colorado, joined the Denver office of the law firm Hollard & Hart, where he provides strategic counsel to his clients on real estate, commercial, and development loan matters, as well as representing clients in complex real estate transactions. Andy is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Ohio. Gail Cleveland Hamel, Sudbury, Massachusetts, writes, "Yes, there is life after Kenyon, I do use my Kenyon education every day, and I still have my Kenyon friends!" Julie A. Kozlowski, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, writes, "I'm looking forward to meeting Lyn Crozier Langbein, Polly Hecht Ragusa, Victoria "Tory" Smith Burrows, and Gretchen Spears Jacobsen in Crested Butte this fall. I'm enjoying the spirit at Chrysler, my awesome Jeep, and most importantly, my recent family reunion on our Great Lake, while sneaking in a little tennis and skiing." Rolf J. Pendall writes, "I'm still enjoying my work as director of a research center at Washington, D.C.- based Urban Institute, studying low income neighborhoods and sustainable metropolitan planning. My family and I live in Takoma Park, Maryland, allowing me to participate in the growing bike commute trend." Daniel W. Shefelman was appointed assistant professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology School of Art and Design. Dan writes, "I am very excited about this opportunity to design an entirely new curriculum in illustration for contemporary media. Washington University illustration professor and ‘Sam the Dog' creator Doug Dowd '83 has been a generous and insightful mentor in preparing for the onslaught of 125 students. Gina B. Kornfeind, Pacific Palisades, California, is the bereavement and support social worker in pediatrics at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. Gina writes, "I stayed with two classmates, Sarah VanOosterhout Shannon and Lawrence H. Shannon, in New Jersey on a volleyball recruiting trip with my eleventh-grade daughter, Molly, last year. We had a blast!" Gina reports that she was also in Columbus, Ohio, last July for the Girls Junior Nationals for volleyball. Molly's team from Los Angeles practiced one day at Kenyon, where they took a tour and got lunch from "where else? The deli!" Nicholas J. Ksenich, Avon, Ohio, reports that his son Nicholas is a junior in sports management at Baldwin Wallace University. His son Ryan graduated from Elyria Catholic High School as valedictorian and National Merit finalist and is attending Franciscan University of Steubenville to major in computer science.

Fawn tells us that she is enjoying her practice as chief of pediatric surgery at Nemours Children's Clinic, and Michael is an anesthetist retired from the United States Navy. Justin Lee V, Berkeley, California, is lead user-interface designer for Voxer, LLC., a globally used voice communications platform for iPhone, Android, and the Web. Mark D. Moon, Jacksonville, Florida, celebrated twenty-two years of marriage to his wonderful wife, Alison. She also practices medicine and has her own dermatology practice in Jacksonville Beach with two other Mayo-trained dermatologists. Mark is the section head of Executive and International Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida and is completing a master of science degree in healthcare delivery science at Dartmouth. Mark writes, "Our ten-year-old daughter, Caroline, says she wants to be a writer, and naturally is wanting to travel to see Kenyon in the near future. It's been too long, so I need to get back to campus!" Laura Jill Tibbe is living and practicing family medicine in Bright, Indiana, with her husband, Michael. Jill writes, "Our medical practice and our three kids keep us on the go, but life is great! Lauren Ewers Polite, Lynne Schneebeck, Susan Lind Quigley, Patricia Rossman Skrha, Susanna M. Brown, and I have been able to find once-a-year weekend reunions. It's such fun to reunite and catch up on each of our busy lives."
