Katherine Bennett Gustafson received her Ph.D. in English last spring from the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently living in Somerville, Massachusetts, with her husband, Timothy, and their three-year-old son, Nate. Kate began working in the English department at Harvard in the fall of 2012. Rachel D. Kelley married George W. Perz III (University of Toledo) on September 21, 2012, in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Rachel tells us they are happily living in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, area where she is a restaurant general manager and George is in sales. Rachel and George hope to make it to the next reunion. Emily A. Leachman married Alejandro Vargas (Monterrey Institute of Technology) on October 9, 2011. Emily tells us that Kenyon was well represented at the ceremony. She and Alejandro live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Audrey A. Swanstrom married John Osuna on July 14, 2012, at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Alynna Nielson Schulert served as a bridesmaid, and several other Kenyon alumni attended the celebratory weekend. The couple resides in Alexandria, Virginia.

Lee Massey Heekin and her husband, James, are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Gray Massey Heekin, on July 28, 2012. They also have a son, James (three). Lee tells us that they love living in Boulder, Colorado. Adam D. Marks and Alexis Braun Marks welcomed their baby daughter, Truett Louise Marks, into the world on September 22, 2012. Adam writes, "Her older sister, Corinne (two), is relishing her new role as big sister." Adam has started his job as faculty at the University of Michigan Hospital, teaching medical students and serving as medical director for their hospice patients. The Marks family resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lauren C. Newhouse and her husband, Eric Bachhuber, welcomed a baby boy, Cody Bachhuber, on September 28, 2012. Lauren tells us the whole family is happy and healthy and is living in Seattle, Washington.

Christian D. Brose was named one of the ninety-nine most influential foreign policy leaders under the age of thirtythree, or the "99 Under 33,"a special project that captures the extraordinary impact on international affairs of ninety-nine diverse Millennials under the age of thirty-three. Christian and Molly McCammon Brose reside in Washington, D.C. Christina C. Close, Attleboro, Massachusetts, co-owner of Bluefish Swim Club with her husband, Chuck Batchelor, had eighteen members of the club qualify for the Olympic trials. Of those, three placed sixteenth or higher, which got them into the next round. Elizabeth Beisel was the only member to make the Olympics, where she won the silver medal in the 400m individual medley and the bronze medal in the 200m backstroke. Marsely L. Kehoe married Michael Lorr (DePaul '01,'02, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee '12) in June 2012, with a number of Kenyon alumni in attendance. Marsely earned her Ph.D. in art history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2012. Marsely and Michael live in Chicago, Illinois. Justin C. Martinich, Long Beach, New York, reports that he recently finished his master's degree in political science at Brooklyn College and married Jen, his girlfriend of many years. Justin tells us that he continues to teach and lifeguard on Long Island and travels when he can. Timothy N. McAndrew and his wife, Rose, welcomed the birth of their daughter, Colleen Margot McAndrew, on July 3, 2012. The McAndrew family lives in Kirkwood, Missouri. Rhoda A. Raji completed her residency in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at Yale-New Haven Hospital and moved to Houston, Texas, to begin a fellowship in surgical critical care medicine at the University of Texas at Houston.

Laux married Emily Newton in June 2012. Kyle writes, "Although not a Kenyon graduate, Emily does have her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University, where Kenyon alumnus Shaka D. Smart '99 is the head basketball coach. We are now proud VCU season ticket holders." Alexis Mallen McManamon, Lawrence, Massachusetts, writes, "I have left the retail world to pursue a master's degree in elementary education. In addition to that, I hope to attend the site program at UNCG (University of North Carolina at Greensboro) to pursue a master's degree in theater education. Amy S. Leathe, Cambridge, Massachusetts, writes, "I completed my MBA at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in July 2012. I'm enjoying not having to balance work and homework anymore, although I'll miss the classroom." Jillian Levine-Sisson married Scott McCormick in Baltimore in November 2011. The couple resides in Silver Spring, Maryland. Jessica Tanner Mills, Novato, California, writes, "I completed an M.Phil. in Irish writing at Trinity College in Dublin. Garrett G. Clarke married Paige H. MacDonald '08 in 2010. The couple resides in Washington, D.C. Elizabeth Moore Langbauer reports that after getting her master's degree in social work, she married Gabriel Langbauer and moved to Yuma, Arizona, where she works for Hospice Compassus. Elizabeth and Gabe welcomed the birth of their daughter, Alice Adelle Langbauer, on July 3, 2011. John F. Lesjack II married Tracy Travaglio on June 30, 2012. Joshua D. Briggeman, Nicholas B. Chuha, and Michael V. Porsche served as groomsmen, and a dozen or so Kenyon alumni attended. The couple resides in Butler, Pennsylvania. Cara Himmelfarb Mcilwaine reports that she has been with Beverage Media in New York for over two years. She works on its print editions and does Web editing and social media activation. Cara says, "My husband and I live in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, New York, and plan to stay awhile. The Olympics have inspired us to try out fencing lessons."

Bethany Shopland Hurley, Erie, Pennsylvania, is still working as a registered nurse in Erie. She tells us that she earned her certificate in inpatient obstetric nursing last year and enjoys being a part-time nurse and fulltime mom. Katherine E. Lainhart and Matthew R. Schefft '04 welcomed their son, Samuel Timothy Schefft, into the world on April 2, 2012. They tell us that they are hopelessly in love with Sam and can't wait to show him off at the next reunion. I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio, with my partner, freelance illustrator Tony Warne, and my rescue beagle-mix, Copper." Elena R. Fernandez, Cordova, Alaska, writes, "After working as a fisheries technician for two field seasons, I was promoted to the position of otolith laboratory supervisor with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. In this lab, we use otoliths (fish ear bones) to identify the proportion of hatchery and wild salmon that were harvested in the Copper River district and Prince William Sound during a particular fishing period. Fishery managers ultimately use this data to identify contributing stocks and determine commercial fishing periods. When I'm not working, I'm taking advantage of all that Cordova has to offer, such as hiking, fishing, and hunting. If anyone wants to visit for an Alaskan fishing vacation, I have a couch with your name on it. I'll even make my award-winning grilled sockeye salmon." Christopher L. Loggins reports that he has been working with the Fred Rogers Company on Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. Chris says, "Look for it in your neighborhood (on PBS)." Chris and his wife, Molly E. Mickinak '06, live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Paige H. MacDonald married Garrett G. Clarke '05 in 2010. After receiving her master's degree in developmental psychology at Columbia University Teacher's College, she moved to Washington, D.C., where the couple resides, and is currently a doctoral student in applied social psychology at George Washington University. Erica L. O'Neill writes, "I relocated to Denver, Colorado, from New York City in 2011 and currently work as a paralegal to pay the bills. Hoeffler, Lexington, Ohio, was accepted into the Peace Corps and departed for Senegal in September to begin training as a sustainable agriculture volunteer. Sam will dedicate her time in Senegal to helping a rural community improve food security and agricultural knowledge by introducing practices that increase both efficiency and productivity. Dylan B. Knewstub, Washington, D.C., writes, "In addition to my day job, I've been pursuing my secret goal of becoming an actor. I started taking classes in 2011 at theaters in the D.C. area. I have now made it into two productions, both at the Silver Spring Stage, one of the more prestigious community theaters in the area." David W. Mastrangelo, Arlington, Virginia, reports that he is fund-raising for five congressional campaigns. Toni J. Metcalf, Gambier, Ohio, writes, "In May 2012, I started my position as the program coordinator for the Easter Seals Knox County Adult Day Program. I manage the day-to-day operations of the program, supervise three habilitation specialists, and ensure that our twenty-three clients with developmental disabilities receive skill development and other related services. I am still very involved with Whisker Connection, Inc., a no-kill cat rescue in Knox County. We can always use volunteers; spread the word!" Catherine D. Norbeck, Denver, Colorado, is currently pursuing a master's degree in public administration at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Stephanie L. Reiches, Boston, Massachusetts, writes, "I've been having a fantastic time in Boston working various library, archives, and administrative jobs after having graduated with a master's degree in library and information science with an archives management concentration from Simmons College in May 2011.
