The student organization Beer and Sex sponsored its second annual Polar Plunge and donated several hundred dollars to Kno-Ho-Co clinic, a local organization that provides low-cost health care assistance to women. About two hundred people took a dip in the Kokosing River... in January.
The student group Koinonia: Christian Service and Outreach sponsored a reception to show appreciation for the maintenance staff. Koinonia recognizes those who provide service to students but sometimes go unnoticed.
The Peeps O'Kenyon held a Peirce Dining Hall dish pick-up to retrieve items that may have been "accidentally" taken from the servery. They urged students to leave vagrant dishes outside their residence hall doors.
Philander's Phling, Kenyon's winter formal, was deemed a success by many, but not so much with the custodial staff. A student activities representative reported to the Collegian that the maintenance staff said clean-up "involved the most vomit they had seen in twenty-five years."
Rush activities for the Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon were suspended in February after complaints about hazing.
A Kenyon student was arrested for stealing cash and property in a robbery spree that took place in the first-year quad.
