Charlotte Greene '14
Katonah, New York
Major: Undeclared; plans a synoptic major in architectural studies
Cycle of life: The tattoo on Greene's back depicts the ourobouros—the image of a snake biting its tail. It relates to the "hero's journey," or man's cyclical trek through life, and was inspired by a high school psychology class. "I loved the class, the teacher, and the notion of continual renewal. It's a prompter of fond memories and a reminder that greater things are to come."
Winged victory: Greene's ankles display the delicately etched wings of the Greek god Hermes. "All my life I've loved mythology, my father having told me Greek and Roman myths as bedtime stories when I was a child. I took Latin for six years and fell in love with all things ancient." The wings of the swift god also pay tribute to Greene's love of athletics. "Fitness of mind and body are two of my greatest passions," said this Lady lacrosse player.
