Their son, Christian, is one year old, and their daughter, Isabella (six), has started first grade. "Life in Virginia is good," Alex reports. Sarah Mills Kinsella and her husband, Shane, announce the birth of Charles Patrick Kinsella on February 11, 2009. Sarah says that she enjoys being a mom in New York City! Amanda Loy-Jung, Albuquerque, New Mexico, writes, "I moved out to New Mexico last fall and, as the license plates say, became enchanted." This fall Amanda joined the faculty of Menaul School in Albuquerque. Pilar Rubin Prime and her husband, Adam, are delighted to announce the birth of their second daughter, Maris Willow, on July 6, 2010. The Prime family, which also includes big sister Zara (two), lives in Strafford, New Hampshire.

The Birkin family has relocated to Lafayette, Indiana, where Jayme has started a new job with Caterpillar, Inc. Rebecca L. ­Dela­hanty married Matt Mayernik on July 10, 2010. The wedding was a great mini-Kenyon reunion! In attendance were Becca's classmates Christine "Chrissy" Steffen, Aurelia J. Flaming, Katherine F. Bare, Michael D. DiMuzio and Micah S. Schamis, as well as Nicholas R. Ferraro, Jessica Edwards Escobedo, Shannon M. Farney and Evangline W. Gray, all from the Class of 2000. Chrissy Steffen remarked that even though Matt is not a Kenyon graduate, he is a cool guy nonetheless. The Mayerniks live in Los Angeles, California. Erika Plank Hagan, Ridgefield, Connecticut, informs us that she is busy training new jazzercise instructors so she can expand her classes. She says she loves having a job where she can dance all the time! Her husband, Andrew (Kenyon staff '01-'02), continues at Theatre Projects Consultants, Inc. in Norwalk, Connecticut. Their son, Isaac (five), who is autistic, started kindergarten last fall. Erika is looking forward to the reunion in May. Rowan Williams Haug tells us that she and her husband, Charles, and their daughter, Sophie (two), have moved back to their hometown, Starkville, Mississippi, where Rowan has started teaching at Mississippi State University as an adjunct. They are enjoying being back near family and watching college football. Susan Hopkins-Davis reports that she and her husband, Matthew, relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, last summer. Matt accepted a job at The Lens, a nonprofit newspaper investigating New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Susan will continue to work on economic development projects throughout the country for ECONorthwest, an economics and finance consulting firm based in Portland, Oregon. Susan and Matt are enjoying the beauty and culture (and heat) of their new city, and would be delighted to have visitors! Aleksandr E. Miklos writes that he has learned to stop worrying and to love the military-industrial complex. Alex and his wife, Anne Swain Miklos, live in Austin, Texas. Sarah E. Pearce-Batten, New York City, informs us that she has been working at the same hedge fund for the last three and a half years, but she is also honing her culinary skills baking in the pastry kitchen at the Gramercy Tavern on Sundays. Sr. Jeana M. Visel, Louisville, Kentucky, informs us that on October 2, 2010, she made her perpetual profession of vows as a Benedictine Sister at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana. Jeana is now devoted for life! Kenyon was represented at the celebration by Kenyon professor Royal Rhodes, Kenyon professor Miriam Dean-Otting '74 and her husband, Charles J. Otting '72, and ­Kristen Filipic '00. For fun, Jeana gave a recital that evening for friends and family, singing a number of chant pieces, some classical works, and some more modern songs.

Stephanie Spaulding Hoffman, Fort Myers, Florida, reports that she recently celebrated five years as a prosecutor in southwest Florida. She has begun teaching law at the local police academy as well. Stephanie and her husband, Matthew, are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2012 reunion. Timothy N. McAndrew married Rose Dunphy on the island of St. Lucia on March 12, 2010. Rose and Tim live in Saint Louis, Missouri. Renee Shoaf McNally, Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, writes that she had a baby and left her day job to raise him and a huge garden while slowly growing her tiny sewing business. If you live in western Pennsylvania and need something sewn, give her a call! Rebecca D. Osborn, Florence, Massachusetts, informs us that she is working on the faculty at Holyoke Community College and absolutely loves teaching. Becky's home is in western Massachusetts, and she's doing a lot of swimming and hiking. She gives a lot of credit to Kenyon for inspiring her love of learning and looks forward to passing that along to her students. Kristen Gupta Palcisco and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of a daughter, Eliot Palcisco, on May 6, 2010. The Palcisco family lives in Cleveland, Ohio, where Kristen works as a nurse practitioner in dermatology and is completing a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree at Case Western Reserve University. Alexis C. Segal, Brooklyn, New York, tells us she is teaching art at George Jackson Academy in New York City, which offers a free private school education to middle-school-aged boys from low-income backgrounds.

Bostsch, Washington, D.C., informs us that she just started a master's program in development management at the School of International Service at American University after living in Ecuador for three years. Lauren has also started an eco-jewelry company, Pepa, that uses all-natural materials (mainly tagua, a palm nut found in Ecuador). She hopes to expand the business into a social enterprise to be able to fund international development projects. Fred remarks that it was a wonderful celebration with several other Kenyon alumni in attendance. Lindsey Joerger Clawson and her husband, Ken, are happy to announce the birth of their son, Christopher Clawson, on February 26, 2010. The Clawson family lives in Germantown, Maryland. David R. Contrada, Toledo, Ohio, tells us that he received his master's degree in philosophy at Leuven University in Belgium in 2008 and in August of 2010 received his master's in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School. Sara Rudolph Dupuis and her husband, Matt, announce the birth of their daughter, Rachel Dupuis, on June 23, 2010. She joins a big brother, Joshua (three), at the Dupuis home in Fowlerville, Michigan. Liesel S. Kuhr married Kevin Eakin in May 2010 at Lake George, New York. Laura May Stancik was Liesel's maid of honor, and Andrew R. Farrell served as Kevin's best man. Liesel works at the National Education Association. She and Kevin live in Arlington, Virginia. Sarah A. McGavran, Cincinnati, Ohio, writes that she spent the last school year doing research for her Ph.D. in art history in Cologne, Germany. In the fall semester of 2010, Sarah continued her research in Zurich, courtesy of the Swiss government. Courtney L. McKee, New York City, informs us that she received her master's degree in social work from Fordham University in May 2010. Mary Sutcliffe Love reports that she lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband of four years, Sean, and their daughter, Katie (one). Sarah Evans Moore and Kenneth N. Moore, Rocky River, Ohio, write that they have enjoyed getting together with Kenyon friends at seven different weddings the past year from Georgia to California. Sarah is now the director of development at Lake Ridge Academy, where Ken teaches ninth-grade world history and serves in alumni relations. Ken still spends his summers at Camp Pemigewasset in New Hampshire, now as a director. Adrian M. Nelson, Honolulu, Hawaii, reports that he is earning his master's degree in natural resource and environmental management at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. He is enjoying the sun and waves but misses Kenyon in the fall. Sara C. Pecorak married Jason Lappé in April 2009. Representing Kenyon in the wedding party were Caroline A. Ciuni and Sara's brother, J.B. Pecorak Wakefield '00. Sara graduated from medical school in May 2009 and moved to Durham, North Carolina, for her pediatrics residency, which she will complete in June 2012 at Duke University. She and Jason live in Durham. Elizabeth Delisle Rodrigues tells us she is entering her second year of a Ph.D. program in English at the University of Michigan. She and Daniel E. Rodrigues live in Ann Arbor. Dawn C. Sokolowski married Vincent Gardiner from Belmesthorpe, England, on January 1, 2011, at her home parish in Mentor, Ohio. Dawn and Vincent live in St. Albans, England, where Dawn is teaching science at Loreto College, an all-girls Catholic secondary school, for the 2010-11 academic year. Jessica M. Tanner married Andrew Mills in Pebble Beach, California, on July 17, 2010. The couple moved to London, Ontario, last fall to pursue further academic degrees. Meaghan K. Celeste trained with the organization Team in Training in honor of Madeleine B. Bahar, who died from plasma cell leukemia in 2009. She raised $2,800 for cancer research through her participation in the triathlon. Jessica M. Dvorak married Jarrett Moyer in June 2010. Catherine Papai McMillin and Elizabeth Moore Langbauer served as bridesmaids. Jarrett and Jessica are both graduate students, Jarrett in applied physics, and Jessica in Chinese literature. Cory Cowles and Emily Allen Cowles '07, Brooklyn, New York, report that they have been married since June 2007. Cory is a coach and substitute teacher at The Dalton School in New York City, and Emily works in fundraising at Brooklyn Friends School. Megan K. Dunlavey, Missoula, Montana, tells us that she graduated from the University of Montana in May 2010 with a master's degree in social work. She is now working as a therapist in an elementary school in Missoula. Alycia A. Ellwood married Patrick Stack (Catholic University '08) on September 26, 2009, in South Bend, Indiana. Stephanie Todd Waskoenig '03 was a bridesmaid, and Kelly P. Burke, Melanie J. Wender, Julia Bright Moran, Charmayne G. Cooley, and Alexander F. Schmucki were also present. Samantha L. Lawrence, Westwood, New Jersey, reports that she is the executive director of a Sunrise senior living community in Saddle River, New Jersey. She loves living outside New York City and doing what she does! Samantha is also spending her third year on the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk Committee and wrote and reviewed applications for a high school scholarship for children exhibiting exceptional volunteerism. In addition, she somehow finds time to continue with her Kenyon alumni admissions work. Lindsay C. Madaras, Columbus, Ohio, tells us that she is completing her third year as a research assistant at Ohio State University. In her spare time, Lindsay plays in a softball league with several Kenyon alumni. Last March, she completed the Rome Marathon with Heather A. Preston '05! Lindsay is looking forward to the next marathon, hopefully in South Africa. Colin P. Mannex, New Haven, Connecticut, writes, "I'm in my fourth year of graduate studies at the Yale School of Drama, where I will eventually disgorge a dissertation proposal. It is hard, but teaching high school kids and undergrads keeps it fun." Molly E. Mickinak, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, writes that she and Christopher L. Emily Allen Cowles and J. Cory Cowles '06, Brooklyn, New York, report that they have been married since June 2007. Cory is a coach and substitute teacher at The Dalton School in New York City, and Emily works in fundraising at Brooklyn Friends School. Erin M. Ellingwood, Somerville, Massachusetts, informs us that she started a new job last June as a project coordinator at the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare in Boston. Erin is supporting two projects, one that helps hospitals across New York encourage new moms to breast-feed, and one that coaches physicians to be advocates for reducing childhood obesity in their communities. Jeremy M. "Mac" Kelly, Nashville, Tennessee, reports that in September 2010 he started work on his master's degree in applied positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Alexandra E. Kittle, Hamilton, New Jersey, tells us she spent the summer at Oxford University (Lincoln College), studying John Milton for her master's degree through the Breadloaf School of English at Middlebury. She was able to see Kenyon professors Deborah Laycock and Jim Carson at the beginning of the summer in Exeter, and they took a tour of Arthur Conan Doyle's inspiration for Hound of the Baskervilles. Ali is still working and coaching at Princeton, although ultimately she would like to be back at Oxford full-time. Samantha J. Ley married Matthew C. Zaremskey on October 9, 2010, in Connecticut. The final head count included twenty-three Kenyon alumni, from 2007 and other years as well. Rose M. Calnin, Aaron J. ­Zaremsky '10, Charles A. Cromer '09, and Cooper C. A. Fleishman '09 participated in the ceremony, and Lauren M. Greene and Loren C. Bondurant designed the invitations. It was a wonderful day, and Samantha says they wish they could do a mini-reunion every weekend! Richard E. Marinos, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, writes that as of July 2010 he had completed his tenth month as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon. He is stationed by the town of Bamena, in the West Province, where he has been working on agroforestry, and teaching ecology to school groups. Richard will finish with the Peace Corps in December 2011. Jessica L. Tindira, Brookpark, Ohio, reports that she finished her master's degree in December 2009 and began teaching French at St. Joseph Academy in August 2010. Todd B. Walters married ­Katherine A. White at Kenyon on July 31, 2010. Colin H. Yuckman '01 officiated, and Rebecca White Newgren '00, Kayla F. Greenberg, Leah G.W. Rappaport, Julia A. Boyer, ­Jonathan "Yoni" Geffen, and Norman J. Kaufman were attendants. Todd and Katie say they greatly enjoyed celebrating their marriage in such a special place and having so many friends who were able to celebrate with them in Gambier. Buller, Denver, Colorado, reports that she is working on her master's degree in social work at the University of Denver. Lindsey J. Fritz married Stephen L. K. Hands '06 in May last year. Lindsey and Steve live in Chicago, Illinois. Anna K. Hale, Ann Arbor, Michigan, informs us that she graduated from the University of Michigan last May with a master's degree in social work and is currently working for the university as a health educator and phone counselor. Joey R. Konieczny, Atlanta, Georgia, writes that he is working on a master's degree in education. Colin W. Maguire married Ashley M. McPeak in June 2010 in Martinsville, Virginia. A number of Kenyon alumni from the Class of 2008 and 2009 ­attended, as well as Susan Lawko Cuiffo '81, Colin's aunt, and ­Bryan P. Jasin '10, who was Colin's best man. The new Mrs. Maguire was very impressed on her first trip to Kenyon at the beginning of October. An avid lover of Civil War history, she was fascinated by Kenyon's prominent role in the conflict. Colin and Ashley live in Lansing, Michigan. Timothy S. Miller married Elizabeth K. Gottschalk '09 in South Bend, Indiana, in August 2010. The Millers live in Mishawaka, Indiana. Erica L. O'Neill, Brooklyn, New York, reports that after working for two years as a litigation paralegal at Cravath, Swaine and Moore in New York City, she started a new position as a research associate for a private family foundation last June. Ricki researches the funding of women's organizations and participates in strategy sessions to advance women's social and political causes. She finds it exciting work! Ryan M. Stewart informs us that in September 2010 he deployed to Mosul, Iraq, as a gun truck platoon leader in support of Operation New Dawn. Ryan expects to return in September 2011.

Carroll were members of the wedding party. Arianna and Chris will live in Silver Spring, Maryland, until they start graduate school. Ryan C. Burns, Export, Pennsylvania, reports that he graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2010 with a master's degree in early modern history. Courtney E. Coleman, Miami, Florida, tells us that she is pursuing a master's in public health and a master's in health services administration at Barry University in Miami Shores. Amy M. Goshe, Tiffin, Ohio, informs us that she will be spending her second year on a Fulbright Fellowship in South Korea. She is teaching English as a second language in a technical high school. Elizabeth K. Gottschalk married Timothy S. Miller '08 in South Bend, Indiana, in August 2010. The Millers live in Mishawaka, Indiana. Jonathan N. Lawrence married Alyssa R. Gomez '10 on July 17, 2010. Jon and Alyssa live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. David W. Mastrangelo, Fairfax, Virginia, informs us that he completed his first of two years at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management in the spring of 2010. David also found time to work for a Democratic fundraising consultant on two upstate New York congressional campaigns. Toni J. Metcalf, Gambier, Ohio, reports that in November 2010, she had successfully completed a year of service in AmeriCorps VISTA and began serving as a VISTA Leader for the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks. In her spare time, Toni serves on the board of directors for Whisker Connection, a no-kill cat rescue in Knox County. Toni feels very blessed and feels her Kenyon education helped her every step of the way. Nicholas W. Petricca, Cincinnati, Ohio, writes that his band, Walk the Moon, has released a new album called i want i want, which will be available on iTunes. You can also download their album on a "pay as you like" basis, from their Web site, http://walkthemoon.bandcamp.com. They held their release party at the MockBee in Columbus on November 13, 2010, which was also their music video premiere.
